A portrait found... in an unlikely, everyday place- the car seat!

I love it when a great portrait can be found in places you least expect... and in this case in the car seat. ;)

Last week when Bill, Mica and I were up in the mountains for the day, Mica fell asleep in her carseat... we were getting her out of the car and the light was great and her blanket was in perfect position that I couldn't resist taking a pic. The best thing is that both the photo above and below were taken with our little snapshot camera - a point and shoot - a Canon powershot! I love that you don't always have to have a fancy camera to get good, classic images.

...sometimes all it takes is cutting out the clutter. Here was the "real scene"...

Our little bug at two months... we love you!

Cole turns two!

It is hard for me to believe that little buddy, Cole is already two years old. Wow, how time flies! I have known Cole's mom, Jamie, for several years now and what an honor to see her become a mom and then just soak in everything Cole brings to life. As a new mom, it is inspiring.

Last week we spent a morning down at the park in Golden, CO and just documented Cole being, well... everything a two-year old boy is suppose to be {smile!}... Climbing playground equipment, chasing geese, jumping in mud puddles and trying to run around naked! What a blast! Check out their slideshow below... you will love his blue, blue, blue eyes!
