Stacey and James' Wedding

Stacey and James are two very special people and I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to second shoot for Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photographers on their wedding day.

Stacey's mom, Wendy, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and to ensure that she could make it to their big day, Stacey and James relocated their wedding from California to Colorado in just a matter of a few weeks. In doing so, they sought out Denver-area vendors who would donate their services to enable them to donate their wedding funds to the Susan G. Koman Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. Katie was more than willing to be there for them to capture the day and I am so thankful she asked me to donate my time as well as a second shooter.

Karen and Keith's Wedding Day!

I love when I get the opportunity to meet the bride and groom before their wedding day... and as a seconder shooter, that is a luxury! So, I was thrilled when I was able to tag along with photographer Katie Thurmes for Keith and Karen's engagement shoot and then see them again on their wedding day. Such a laid back couple who just soaked in all the bliss! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.

Jenni and Chris' Wedding Day!

Nothing beats a camera in my hand, sand between my toes and a great couple on their wedding day. As you all know, I just love second shooting for Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photographers and this lucky girl (ME! YAY!) was able to second shoot for her in Naples, FL at Jenni and Chris' breathtaking destination wedding. What a fantastic day... and that is an understatement!

When your sister is a mom...

With Mother's Day next weekend, I wanted to share some recent images I took of my sister, Laura and her three boys - Thor (4), Leif (2) and Lars (7 months) playing outside.

As you know, my heart just instantly melts for these boys and I have to say there is just something special about watching your sister as a mom. The way she loves and just how much these boys love her back...

These images capture a great moment in time- when, standing tall, none of them quite reach Laura's waist. Oh, what a fun day to look back on when they are towering over her in years to come. :)
