Lisa and Martin's Wedding!

This past summer, I was lucky enough to second shoot for Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photographers and help capture Lisa and Martin's wedding day. What a great afternoon, filled with unexpected surprises...especially when the fire alarms went off at the Denver Botanical Gardens minutes before Lisa was going to walk down the aisle. But, the Denver firefighters showed up in no time to turn off the alarm and were even gracious enough to let me grab a shot of them with the bride. :) FUN! there was so much love surrounding their wedding day...nothing was about to dampen the mood! Thank you Katie for a great summer of shooting!

'Tis the season... for basketball!

As many of you know, my brother Michael is a basketball referee and every year, right around this time, we jump into our season of watching him work the court. We love it! I can tell you, you definately watch the game differently when you are there to cheer on the ref!

Several years ago, I tried (with little success) reffing 8th grade basketball with my brother...while it was a blast to be out there with Michael- it is soooo much harder than it looks. Granted, Michael is onto Division I college games now, so I can hardly imagine the pressure that he handles with ease. But, every once in a while I like bringing my camera and acting like I am a sports photographer... fun to catch the ref in action. Michael, you amaze and inspire me everyday...Love you!

Melissa and Justin's Wedding!

As I have mentioned before, I spent several of my weekends this past summer as a second shooter for Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photographer's. She is an AMAZING photographer and I loved every minute of working with her. She is endlessly inspiring! I am just now catching up on some of the weddings I shot with her from this past summer ...and wanted to share a few images from Melissa and Justin's wedding at the Sancutary. I was able to tag along for their engagement session too in June, so it was so nice to see their familiar faces on their wedding day! So fun!

Cannon Patrick...we are so glad you are here!

In late November, we celebrated with the birth of Becca Mahoney's second child and new baby boy Cannon Patrick. He is everything a newborn should be...tiny, sweet, and just so darn kissable! I was able to stop by after he was born to capture a few images to help always remember these first, amazing days.

Before I show some of my favorite images from the morning, I have to say that there are a few select people who have provided unmeasurable support this last year as I have worked to move forward with my photography...and from the VERY start Becca has been cheering me on endlessly. I am forever thankful to her for believing in me ...more than she will ever know. Thank you Becca!

I am in a black & white mood, but - without further ado- Welcome Cannon Patrick... we are so glad you are here! YAY!

Miss Campbell...in her new role as BIG sister.

And one of the whole family... my favorite!

The Hagen Family

I spent such a great morning with the Hagen family (starring the adorable 22 mo. old...Nicholas!) on Sunday. We lucked out with 60 degree weather in December and enjoyed much of our photo time outside- we even ventured to the playground and got lost in the fun of slides and swings! Now, that it is two days later and we were blessed with 6 inches of snow last night, I am sorting through the photos from Sunday as if it was a world away. :) But that's why we love Colorado! Here are a few of my favorites from the morning. Thanks Hagen's for a fantastic day!

Lori and Stephen's Wedding Day!

I got the opportunity to meet Lori and Stephen during their engagement session and thought they were just such great people. I was so thrilled to be able to also help capture their wedding day this summer as a "second shooter" for Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photographers. What a fun day filled with great people... and I wanted to share a few of my favorites...
